Style and Composition

Sharp summer grasses rise along the right side, while softer broad-leaved vegetation fills the left, grounding the viewer on the ridge before the valley drops away. Beyond this foreground threshold, the scene opens into rolling mountain forms softened by blue-gray haze and low mist.
