In Yellow Air, Byron Carr uses a 16" × 20" horizontal format to create an intimate woodland water study. A shallow pool anchors the foreground, where broad sweeps of pale cerulean, silver-white, and cream reflect the open sky. Vertical trails of golden ochre and copper-orange break across the surface, adding warmth and movement.
Across the midground, a boulder-strewn creek runs through granite forms painted in slate gray, lavender-silver, and raw umber. Dark, slender tree trunks establish a rhythmic forest backdrop, opening at the center to reveal a small white-water cascade.
