This exceptional, vintage mid-20th-century flat-weave Kilim showcases a striking tribal aesthetic rooted in the traditional Jajim weaving styles of western Iran. Woven by nomadic or village artisans, the carpet features an incredibly dense composition of horizontal, multi-chromatic bands.
The primary decorative panels are anchored by rich mustard-yellow stripes filled with finely detailed, contrasting diamond medallions. These geometric motifs are achieved using a meticulous supplementary-weft brocading technique, giving the patterns a subtly raised texture. The fields are tightly balanced by alternating bands of madder red, ivory, and deep indigo blue lines. Finished with a natural, integrated cotton-wool fringe, this versatile area rug brings authentic bohemian warmth, mid-century charm, and rich textile history to any contemporary or eclectic interior.
